Yay...my porch re-do in Birmingham finally found it's home in Southern Living...these photos were shot for Cottage Living before they folded (BOO...SO SAD). I found out recently that they were picked up by Southern Living for this special edition of makeovers...it's kind of fun because the paper quality is much nicer and also less advertising! Sorry the quality of photos is sketchy...but I do not want to tear them out yet...and cannot find them online :-)

This store is just adorable....so many vintage yet fresh ideas I wasn't sure that I could stop....whew! The restored orange phone is total perfection!!! These beautiful drawings are by Hanna Müller, who has a really cute story on her blog about how she started drawing: When I grew up I did some serious attempts to write my feelings in a diary, it started off good until my brother ferret out where it was hidden. It didn't matter how much I tried to hide it, he always found it and spread my most private thoughts to everyone who cared to listen. Today I am obsessing about lamps...maybe it's the "too many dreary days in a row" phenomena...but my favorite lighting is made by my company's designer Robert Ogden. He crafts these functional delish industrial but elegant goodies that bring the designers in droves to our showroom in Atlanta and the New York Gift Fair!!!! Here are a few of my "current" favorites...if you look close you will see that they are all completely constructed from odd bits and parts...some parts old some parts reused in different ways i.e. car jacks...100% yummy!

Our dog Rusty Clyde has become a bit of a legend in our realm...he was rescued at three years old after being dumped by 3 or 4 different owners ...since we have had him he has managed to demolish three wedding dresses...shred several sets of curtains...pulled the curtain rods out of the wall...chew the window rims out... snap the window cords circa 1913...chew the frames of all the doors in our fully restored home...eat the roof of my car...bite the postman......eat the slipcover on a brand new sofa...bite the "ears" of of all my pillows...chew a hole in EVERY duvet, quilt..ect that I own ...due to these details he has not been able to stay at home alone for a solid 8 months (serious seperation anziety) ... all that said he is a great dog and our star dog model on my company's website http://www.peddlersdesign.com/ So, in an effort to help R.C. find peace and goodness in his life and to realign his "connectness" to a pack that he really can be the boss of we recently adopted a new dog baby...Jellybean Bonanza...our friends seriously thought we were crazy but please observe .... and cross your fingers for us!!!!
