Yay...my porch re-do in Birmingham finally found it's home in Southern Living...these photos were shot for Cottage Living before they folded (BOO...SO SAD). I found out recently that they were picked up by Southern Living for this special edition of makeovers...it's kind of fun because the paper quality is much nicer and also less advertising! Sorry the quality of photos is sketchy...but I do not want to tear them out yet...and cannot find them online :-)

This store is just adorable....so many vintage yet fresh ideas I wasn't sure that I could stop....whew! The restored orange phone is total perfection!!! And their vases precious....I am a total sucker for graphic design of all kinds and the coffee bags recycled into baskets are completely clever, charming and useful!!!

These beautiful drawings are by Hanna Müller, who has a really cute story on her blog about how she started drawing: When I grew up I did some serious attempts to write my feelings in a diary, it started off good until my brother ferret out where it was hidden. It didn't matter how much I tried to hide it, he always found it and spread my most private thoughts to everyone who cared to listen. So I stopped writing my feelings down and started drawing what I felt instead. My pictures became my diary and still are. It feels nice to draw them away. So sweet...
